Google Apps for Education

Google is increasing Gmail storage for their Google Applications for Education users from 7 GB to 25 GB. This is more than 100 times what most other free webmail services offered at the time.

People imagine the laughs when Google launched Google Apps for Education in early 2006 with 2GB of email storage, which in some cases was hundreds of times more than what schools were traditionally offering their students and staff. Now continued adding more storage and today offer over 7GB of free email space for everyone using Google Apps for Education.

It is time once again to consider more. Next week, the new school moved to Google Apps Education will see the 25GB mailbox instead of 7GB. Existing customers will see growth in their mailboxes over the next few weeks.

Google launch this service because he knows the students and teachers are really busy. There’s no reason they should spend their time sifting through spam and deleting email to stay under quota. Bigger inboxes might offer the first step to helping today’s students think bigger.
